Home Tuition, GCSE Revision Camp and the like...

Thanks to both Dave and Design on Toast for their tremendous and absolutely dedicated efforts to give A Star English the new look we were hoping for… Hurrah.

Both myself and colleague Marina are using the new look as a new energy to bring into 2009 and are busy planning and devising new exciting additions for this year’s GCSE Revision Camp. As usual, the camp will be based in Winchester, this year we will be enjoying improved facilities with a larger room with the added benefit of an outside area, for those that don’t fancy Starbucks at lunch time. Fortuitously the Camp falls close to the Easter Weekend this year, so it will mark the return of the celebratory chocolate based prizes that were sadly missed last year!

Corellied Away

As an upshot of the snow, I am making the most of a tuition free day by attempting to finish the rest of the beautifully tragic story, without shedding any more of the tears that Captain Corelli has already invoked. Lingering perhaps, on the pages a little more than necessary to delay Measure for Measure. . . which is the next on the list. But I’m guessing that this is unnecessary, since the ghosts of De Bernieres’ pages will live on after many many books to come.

Leanne.
